Football

One of the most popular sports in England is football. In other countries it is known as “soccer” and it has taken the world by storm.

The game started in England and exploded around 1863 when The Football Association was formed and they made the “laws of the game.” These laws are the foundation of how the game is played to this very day.

The main rule of the game is that the players don’t touch the ball with their hands. They can only kick the ball and can also use their knees, shins, and their head. The only person who can touch the ball with their hands it the goalie when he or she throws the ball back into play.

But the whole idea behind the game is for the other team to score by kicking the ball into the other team’s goal. Each team has a goalie protecting that goal to prevent the other team from scoring.

Football is a very exciting game to watch and it has grown in popularity, especially since Manchester United is, perhaps, the most popular team in the world.
