Rugby is very similar to football and originated at Warwickshire’s Rugby school. The main difference between Rugby and football is that it is played with an oval ball, whereas football is played with a perfectly round ball.

For the longest time, you would only find Rugby being played amongst the upper class, but it is now popular all over England.

There are two different types of Rugby. There is Rugby Union, which is played throughout Scotland, Wales, Ireland, and most of England and there is Rugby League, which is played mainly in North England.

To get a good idea of how Rugby is played, it is the basis for American Football. It is Rugby that gave the idea for football and is played in very much the same way. Players have to run the ball past the other team’s goal line while avoiding being tackled by the other team. If tackled too many times, the other team gets the ball so that they can have the opportunity to score.

Rugby players do not outfit themselves in the uniforms that American Football players do, which makes the sport even more fascinating to watch.
